Fetească Neagră, translates as ‘black young girl’, is an old, indegenous variety originating in the historical region of Moldova (including today’s Republic of Moldova and Romania’s eastern Moldova region), where it has been traditionally cultivated. Deep ruby color, with a juicy core and a taste reminiscent of plums and blackberries. The velvety and complex texture is enticing with notes of berries and dried cherries, softened by spices that sharpen the senses.
